Boulevard Wentzville Employee Appreciation

As Executive Director, I find it exciting to work with The Boulevard Wentzville team because they are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of residents, families and their teammates. They are a collection of incredible individuals who work collaboratively to create a positive and joyous culture where ideas are shared and supported, not just in word, but also by lending their own time to an initiative in another department to assure success. The Wentzville team laughs well together! They encourage each other’s creativity and they share information to make each other’s job easier. They do the big things well and the little things well, banding together and lifting each other up to get any job done well.

The team pulled together to negotiate the challenges of Covid as a team and not as individuals. A barbeque with entertainment for all residents held in the parking lot brought the entire team together to provide a joyous outdoor event where everyone could mingle. A recent weather event prompted a dozen team members to spend the night for three nights at the community to assure residents were cared for and meals were prepared and served.

Plans to show our appreciation on Employee Appreciation Day include a buffet luncheon and prize give-aways. Throughout the year I give personal thank you cards to recognize a job well done. I also thank team members in person, at the moment I see them doing or saying something great. I find immediate recognition is appreciated by team members. I also get to know them as individuals and ask them how they are doing, if they have any ideas to share for improvement and/or what their goals are, to see if there is any way we can help them to achieve their goals. They are a fabulous group of people who are sincere in their commitment to creating a comfortable, fun and safe environment for those who call The Boulevard Wentzvile their home.
