There is no doubt that events and celebrations pull people together. Here at The Boulevard Senior Living – Wentzville, we believe Halloween is a perfect time to build up our team and encourage workplace camaraderie. It helps create traditions, provides opportunities for intergenerational fun and builds positive morale within the team. Plus, it’s a great holiday to let the team break loose and plan some seasonal fun!
This year, our team will be welcoming back the children from our neighboring daycare. Last year the children dressed up and trick-or-treated along the sidewalks of the community. It was such an amazing event we plan on making it an annual tradition. The residents and the staff participated in handing out candy to the children.
Every Wentzville team member also received their own Halloween bags full of treats from the community. Traditions like this are important because the team gets to have fun and socialize with both the residents and their co-workers, creating the camaraderie we strive for at The Boulevard. Team members are encouraged to participate with the Halloween festivities at the community and trick-or-treat with the children. Traditions such as Halloween create an environment that brings life and energy while building team connections and improving company culture. The residents get a sense of being at “home” by continuing to celebrate Halloween, just as they did in the past, seeing children and team members dressed up and handing out candy.
Celebrating Halloween at work can be a great opportunity to have fun while team building and improving company culture. As the Business Office Director, I love having these built-in opportunities to have fun and grow together as a team!
